Many patients who visit Vancouver dentist, Dr. Debra Mitchell have avoided the dentist for years out of anxiety, fearing dental treatment will be painful and expensive. Dr. Mitchell and her staff are dedicated to making each patient as comfortable as possible.
Dr. Mitchell graduated in 1981 from the University of Alberta, moving to Vancouver in 1987. She practiced for over twenty years at a large group practice. In 2010 she and her staff moved to south Vancouver in the Marpole area to open a new office in Airport Square.
She has been an active participant in many study clubs, courses and conferences in Canada and the United States to stay abreast of the new and exciting changes in dentistry. These include study in dental esthetics and cosmetic dentistry, veneers, crowns and bridges, root canals, surgery and implants.
Dr. Mitchell enjoys caring for patients in a thorough yet gentle manner. She wants her patients to understand the options that are available to them and works with them to choose a treatment plan to best optimize their dental health.
On a personal note, Dr. Mitchell and her husband Rob are the parents of four grown children. Debra and Rob enjoy travel, tandem cycling, skiing, and spending time with their family and friends.
